CALIFORNIA – Our courses meet the California continuing education credit requirement as long as the subject matter outlined below is satisfied. We do not recommend using the following programs for the state requirement: 'Beating Stress' or 'Essentials of Sonography' or 'Sonography in Gyn'.

  • Certified Radiologic Technologists and limited permit x-ray technicians are required to earn 24 approved CECs to renew a certificate or permit.
Certified Radiologic Technologists with authorization to perform mammography are required to earn at least 10 of those 24 approved CECs in mammography and to perform at least 200 mammographic examinations.
  • Licentiates are required to earn 10 approved CECs to renew a certificate or permit.
The renewal form that will be mailed to you , by California state, provides space for documenting the approved CECs you have earned in the two years immediately preceding the expiration date of your certificate or permit.
  • Please note that subjects related to the application of x-ray to the human body may include X-ray administration, X-ray management, X-ray pathology, X-ray diagnosis, and X-ray quality control. However, subjects in MRI and Ultrasound are not related to the application of x-ray to the human body.
